ABOUT MISS JESSE, Owner and Director:

Jesse discovered a passion for supporting the lives of children in high school, when she first felt the urge to give back to her community. In college, she worked with children and teens in crisis; experiences that inspired her to train as a therapist with an emphasis in children and families (MEd, Educational Leadership and Counseling Psychology; Certified Systemic Play Therapist).

During Jesse’s dance career, she developed specialty in movement for child development and learning (BA, Dance; MFA, Dance; Intern, Creative Dance Center). She taught dance for 15 years in a wide variety of schools, with specialty in creative movement for children ages 3-6.

Becoming a mom inspired Jesse to study Waldorf education and become both a Waldorf early childhood and grades teacher (LifeWays Early Childhood Certificate and Waldorf Teacher Certificate). Under the Waldorf umbrella, the various threads of her interests come together, including early childhood development, movement arts, creativity, connection to nature and self-development.

Jesse previously ran Kinder Roots Preschool, and most recently, taught 2nd and 3rd grades at Boulder Valley Waldorf School. She’s additionally has taught kindergarten, 1st, and 5th-7th grades at the Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten, Corvallis Waldorf School and Boulder Valley Waldorf School, respectively.

Jesse has lived on the front range for 25 years with her husband Tim. Her middle-school-aged son has been a Waldorf kid since preschool.
